How balances work
• Gold given on credit reduces available stock and creates a customer balance in grams and LKR.
• Gold received as repayment increases gold stock at the repayment day's saved rate.
• Cash received as repayment is converted to equivalent gold grams at the repayment-date rate and is automatically added to the cash account.
• Gold and cash balances are shown separately; the LKR balance is reduced by the repayment-day value of gold received plus cash received.
• Average gold cost uses weighted-average costing. This is a management ledger, not a substitute for formal accounting.
